as u all know, rihanna was scheduled to testify against chris brown in 22nd of june and she did tell details about the alleged assault happened a day before grammy 2009.
during the trial, rihanna testified (quoted from people.com)
Rihanna was assaulted during an argument that began when she read text messages from another woman on Brown's phone as they were driving in a Lamborghini in L.A. the morning before the pair were both scheduled to perform on the Grammy Awards.
An enraged Brown allegedly tried to force her out of the car, hit her head against the passenger window, punched her in the eye and drove away while steering with one hand and continuing to punch her with the other, says the detective's notes in the search warrant.
As blood filled Rihanna's mouth, Brown allegedly told her, "I'm going to beat the s--- out of you when we get home. You wait and see!" Rihanna then faked a call to her assistant, saying, "I am on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there." The police notes indicate the statement prompted Brown to reply: "You just did the stupidest thing ever. Now I'm really going to kill you."

in my opinion, this verdict is 100% not fair! after what he had done, that punishment is beyond low! bayangin aja, dia udah mukulin orang and threatened someone's life, cuman koq dia ga serve jail time? how can he even change? once a beater always been a beater. chris brown deserves the harshest punishment, and what is it? it's a punishment for DUI? fine! but for this crazy assault? hell no! the judge should know better, kalau dia ga dipenjara and serves some time, he will do the same thing again. there will be the next rihanna in the future.
eventhough dia adalah selebriti, dia harus terima consequences-nya of what he had done. when he did those things, mikirkah dia kalau he's not an animal yang asal pukul aja? or maybe he's lower than an animal?
if i were rihanna, i wouldn't take this verdict. imagine deh the pain she has to go through, it's indeed hurtful to be treated like a trash by someone you love.
not just physically but emotionally traumatized, the disappointment, anger, and frustration blend into one. it's important to forgive others, tapi chris brown tetep harus dihukum so dia bener-bener kapok dan ga ngelakuin hal itu ke cwe-cwe lain.
so, whaddya think, is it the right punishment or it's too soft for what he had done?
