The Ten: Outstanding TV Series This Season.

Most of our beloved series have come to a finale, leaving us to ponder what's more to come this fall. As we come to what I would like to call as 'dry spell', we take a look back on these following series, which can be considered as the creme de la creme of the season.

#10. Bones

Best Character: It's tie between Bones and Booth. This season, we've seen them taking further step on their relationship where they openly admit their attraction toward each other. Eventhough some obstacles come in form of one blonde reporter called Hannah, we all know that Bones and Booth is the endgame and damn we are right!

Best Episode: The Blackout in Bllizard. Bones and Booth stuck in an elevator while the rest of the team are off solving the case with a suspect that suffers from a plague. Intriguing huh?

Score Card: For starter, this season starts off with slow progression, but spikes in the end. A B- would reflect the season well.

#9 Gossip Girl

Best Character: It's as predictable as Twilight in MTV Movie Award. Blair Waldorf taking home this honor. Between everything that has been going on, every girls want some Waldorf in her. However, next season, Blair needs to keep up by knowing that her real happy ending is not in Monacco, it's somewhere in New York, specifically one person named Chuck Bass.

Best Episode: The Witches of Bushwick. Blair and Chuck back together for a moment to cherish, Serena hits rock bottom, and Katie Cassidy is pure evil. CLASSIC GOSSIP GIRL!

Score Card: B for Blair Waldorf and of course all of the stuffs that have been going on.

#8 The Vampire Diaries

Best Character: Enough said, the show won't survive if wasn't for this character. Damon Salvatore is the heart and soul of Vampire Diaries because everything that comes out from his mouth send us through the roof.

Best Episode: The Last Day. It's one of the moment we remember that yes, Vampire Diaries is like Twilight, it perfects itself with sappy romances but hey that's what we want right? #sarcasm

Score Card: B As much as we love this show, yes, we have to admit that season 1 is so much better compared with this one. However, this show still deserves some recognition for some grungy jaw dropping moments

#7
The Good Wife

Best Character:
Alicia Florrick. She has come a long way from being that scorned woman in the podium. Aside from Margulies' calm and content manner, Alicia Florrick carries different element of a modern renowned woman with her own path to walk on. It will be very interesting to see whether the 'good wife' side is still there after that game changing finale which tested Alicia's own identity.

Another shoo in for best character? Eli Gold, simply put this character is all you want and ever want with its cunning, sharp tongued demeanor, he's the heart and soul of the Florrick's campaign.

Best Episode:
Foreign Affairs. The much excitement generated storyline about Peter's campaign harbor at this episode. Gut wrenching performance by Margulies that will easily be Emmy worth moment.

Score card: For its complexity and smart storyline completed with graceful casts, would have to give this series a B+ for this season.

#6. How I Met Your Mother

Best Character: Barney Stinson. For one simple reason, BEING AWESOME!

Best Episode: Subway Wars. Hilarious race of craziness in order to name who's the most 'New Yorker'. CLASSIC!

Score Card: Possible B+ for its ups and downs (funny times and serious times)

#5. Glee

Best Character: This season, I would have to pick newcomer Blaine as the life raft of Glee. His vocal stuns the audiences, his charm got us wrapped around his finger, and of course, he's the nicest boyfriend you can possibly ask! If only..he swings both ways!
Another one to pick up the win, guest star Holly Holiday delivers strong pitches with sexy moves. Gwyneth Paltrow proves she is a force to reckoned with

Best Episode: The Sue Sylvester Shuffle, there said it! Thriller/Off With Your Heads cause it's a night to remember!

Score Card: B+ for some of the most jaw dropping melody, dances, and moves!

#4 Modern Family

Best Character: Phil Dunphy. He makes us laugh every episode, I mean who paints his van with his racy family picture, jumps in front of his daughter's moving van, and even sprays a salesman with sample perfume? It's that crazy that you can not even believe it.

Best Episode: Unplugged. The craziest episode where the Dunphy does one of their silly contest by not using electronic stuffs. That can only mean one thing, hilarious that will shake your stomach to the core.

Score Card: For Phil Dunphy's antique, Gloria's still heavy accent, and Luke's adorable expression, A- will do

#3. Body of Proof

Best Character: Megan Hunt. Dana Delany can do no wrong, in my book she's always right; that's what shows in her character. Megan Hunt is sarcastic, ambitious, and headstrong, something we woman have in us. More than that, she's a layer of complication, between ambition and reality. For her portrayal, I figure Delany deserves a nomination for Emmy this year.

Best Episode: With 9 episode this season, it's very hard not to question, why this series is not aired in the beginning of the season (not in the mid season) because we deserve more of them. Judging from the following episode, the Pilot still holds the key to the pivotal development in this series. When it comes back next season, we're hoping to uncover more layer of Megan, and possibly a new romance for this lonely doctor.

Score Card: A solid A for Delany's performance, fresh storyline, and witty remarks by the writers.

#2 Nikita

Best Character: Nikita. She's an epitome of kickass beauty with brain to complete. Maggie Q portrays Nikita with such complexity that we feel so left behind with every moment without her. The twisted plot is brilliant, and heads up all for Nikita's role on it. Vulnerability, tough edge, and everything wrap into one. If only this was not CW, she would have received multiple awards for it!

Best Episode: Covenants. This is what happens when an action movie plot is given to a TV series. Multiple gut wrenching scenes, vulnerable moments, and everything with the word kick ass clashing together.

Score Card: A solid A is given for the twisted plot, outstanding casts, and smoking romance between Nikita and Michael! :)

#1 Castle

Best Character: Richard Castle. Boyish charm, genius mind, and of course attentive behavior. What can we ask more? Hmm, maybe Beckett should've answered that one.

Best Episode: Knockdown. An open wound is opened, once again as new facts regarding Beckett mother's murder resurfaced.

Score Card: Every episode is entertaining as ever, so yes, I will not hesitate for an A+ If you are protesting, see the finale and you will understand why.

As for you, what's your favorite for this season?

Sounds in below!

TV Report Card: Bones

I can't seem to decide whether Bones has a good season or surprisingly disappointing season overall. Well, let's see here..
Best Character: Hands down, this season, Emily Deschanel totally brings it! Bones has completely gone over the roof with her mixture for science and opening up to psychology with last season's event. Eventhough in the end, it's still a long road, but we get to see improvements in her.

Worst Character: I shall say, no one did it bad this season but those changing interns are bugging me!

Best Moment: Oh well, 100th episode? That's like..! Brennan and Booth finally! We got to see some of those back to the past improvements. Hey writer, take a note, we want romance (seeing that House finally gave the Huddy fans what they had wanted)

Worst Moment: Sorry, but the finale is a major disappointment. Nothing monumental is going on

Hopes For Next Season:
1. I would like to see more and more Brennan Booth development. Taking a year apart will do, right?
2. Please find a stable intern, not Ms. Daisy Wick for sure!

Overall Grade: B

Tv Report Card: Desparate Housewife

Today season's card report will give spotlight to Wisteria Lane, yes, that's right, welcome to the suburbs where all the twisted drama and mystery are kept.

Best Character: She hasn't been my favorite, however this season, Gaby has played my favorite. A thumbs up to Longaria who practically succeed in transforming the materialistic and spoiled Gaby into someone who can actually save the day in the finale. Wohoo! :)

Worst Character: I'm sorry, but I find that Susan has become less amusing in this season. She's just lack of interest, chatty, and annoying I shall say. We want the old klutz back, not this you know bitch nagging wife.

Best Moment: I love the whole Bolens family storyline, I found it very entertaining and frankly Drea De Matto's Angie Bolen is warming up on me, too bad, she's gone for the next season :(

Worst Moment: I can say the lesbian scene between Katherine and Robins? Oh come on! Don't make one of our favorite housewives as the lesbian bimbo, cheap!

Hopes For Next Season:
1. I heard that Vanessa Williams is coming to the area, wow, can't wait for the drama here
2. The mystery surrounding the mistaken child has got to be the major plot point

Overall Grade: B+

TV report card: Vampire Diaries

CW came up with a very strong series this season, Vampire Diaries. I was shallow before and thought of it as another Twilight's knock off. Boy I was wrong! Vampire Diaries is dark, complicated, yet an enjoyable TV series to follow. Every development was exciting, and I will share my excitement with you..

Best Character: Damon Salvatore. A very interesting combination between arrogance and thoughtful character. Damon has this layer where he lands a spot between sexy and sweet. Unlike Stefan who prefers to have his dark world, Damon is more outspoken, less hypocrite I shall point out. She and Nina Dobrev's character shall make a sizzling chemistry.

Worst Character: I don't know why but I hate Caroline. She has no role in this whole series. Just a chatty and annoying friend of Elena. She does remind me a lot of Jessica Stanley in Twilight, but less cooler version of it.

Best Moment: Blood Brothers. Every Moment of it. AWESOME!

Worst Moment: It's those gory scenes where Stefan started drinking blood again. I'm sorry, good ol Stefan just didn't fit the shoes!

Coupled up: Eventhough the whole season, Elena is head over in heels with Stefan. The chemistry is certainly lacking. On the other hand, Damon and Elena? HOT!

Hopes For Next Season:
1. We get to see what Katherine is up to, that would be an interesting twist especially for Nina Dobrev who play a goodie goodie Elena and badass Katherine
2. A budding romance between Elena and Damon would satisfy the fans' need for some chemistry
3. The backdrop story about Tyler and werewolf

Overall Grade: A-

TV report card: Grey's Anatomny

Grey's Anatomy is at 6th season and frankly, the more seasons passed by, the more I felt like watching soap opera. Thank God, this season ended with a game changing finale. Here is my take on Grey's Anatomy..

Best Character: Before the 5th season and this season, I think Meredith Grey was such a baby, with her nagging and dwelling over Mcdreamy life. However, little did we know, that she completely changed once she has her happy ending with Derek. I really do enjoy watching Meredith grew up and took responsibility of taking care the others and their boundaries. Another character I enjoy is Arizona Robins and her bright and sparkly attitudes. Well, we need more light with those twisty drama they are having, right? In addition, kudos to Christina Yang and her finale moment. Totally an Emmy Worthy performance for Sandra Oh!

Worst Character: Some said Izzie, some said those Mercy Westers, I said Owen Hunt. It's not like I have something against Kevin Mckidd but I think his character is just wrong. Frankly, the character is shallow, dark, gory, and I found it unlovable. Complicating his life with those cheap melodrama, just ruin the whole dynamic in Grey's! :(

Best Moment: I don't have something in particular but I do enjoy every moment where Meredith Derek just simply be husband and wife, very sweet, and very adorable! It's like watching a Prince and Princess' life

Worst Moment: I don't want to blame it on Katherine Heigl but Izzie's departure is way too forced. If Heigl would do an episode to conclude her exit, that would change the whole thing. Izzie used to play such a pivotal role in Grey's and having her gone like that is heartbreaking

Coupled up: I'm a Meredith and Derek hardcore fans but I have to mention some of new couples that I think are noteworthy. Arizona Callie, Alex Lexie, and Ben Bailey.

Addition to the cast: I think the whole cast of Grey's Anatomy has shifted. From the dynamic five of Meredith, Christina, George, Izzie, and Alex into complete strangers. One addition I do enjoy is Kim Catrall's Teddy Altman. I believe she's a good teacher aside from her complicated love story with Owen Hunt.

Hopes For Next Season:
1. A chance for Grey's to get back at its roots, mixing the personal life and medical drama, not being all mushy and sad all the time
2. The continuance of Mer-Der's baby drama. I hope this is just a beginning of their attempt for a baby
3.Owen-Christina-Teddy's bermuda triangle has got to stop! It's sickening. Why don't you two smart girls choose someone better?

Overall Grade: B-

TV report card: Gossip Girl

After previous report card for Glee now I'm going to hand out another one with another teen based series set in New York's elite district, Upper East Side. Yep, you guess it, it's Gossip Girl time!

Best Character: It's a complete tie between Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf. You know, watching the series would be so hard without the scheme created by these two dare devils. Not to mention, when these two join forces, an impeccably savvy creation is born. I will point this more into one and only, Blair Waldorf. This season, the used to be spoiled brat has transformed completely into a more settled, (can't believe I said this but..) wiser, and still full of deceit. Nothing coming out from Ms. Waldorf's mouth doesn't worth repeating.

Worst Character: Do I even have to say it? It starts with a J and ends with big fat B for Bitch!

Best Moments: Eventhough, this is such a tragic episode for me. The moments between Blair and Chuck in Inglorious Bassterds are superficially jaw dropping. The moment Blair walked with her gorgeous pink satin dress, you knew nothing can trump her devotion for Chuck.

Worst Moments: Oh dear God, you know how I feel about Little J cashing in her V to Chuck? That moment, I was yelling and half-wished I could just throw my TV. Grrr...

Coupled up: The creme de la creme of this series is the pairing between equally attractive, Chuck and Blair. Not that they are fitted to each other, they are a pleasure to watch that is.

Hopes for Next Season:
1. I do hope from the deepest layer of my heart that Blair and Chuck would get back together and have their promised epic love story
2. Jenny would never step her foot ever in Manhattan. That girl has caused enough damages for a lifetime
3. Classic schemes and deceit to pump up the season :)

Overall Grades: B

TV report card: Glee

Well, well, the finale season is here and I would like to hand out to all of you my report card marks for these most talked about series. Today, we'll start with Glee, who has profoundly attracts audiences from different age and social backgrounds. Who knew everyone who are completely different have same fondness over music?

Best Character: This is a no brainer, Sue Sylvester has gotta be one of not only best Glee characters, but one of the best characters in TV. She gives away witty remarks in arrogance and narcissistic ways. Her quotes are disturbingly inspiring, eventhough I think she referred to gays way too much. Her monologues are outstanding and can be named as one of my favorite TV moments this year. She's a complicated character to begin with, evil on the outside, soft in the inside (possibly!!) Imagine Glee without her, abolish that thoughts right away!

Worst Character: I still think that Terri Schuester is a weak link in Glee's powerful characterization. Lack of unique quality to be brought up and of course, her craziness with hysteria pregnancy and all of that are doubtlessly annoying. The last time we see her flirting with Finn, I got shudder and I practically cringed in disgust.

Best Moments: There are so many moments in Glee, funny, intense, touching, you name it! However, my ultimate favorite has come down to the Glee kids singing "To Sir With Love". I kept having a beautiful picture, actually a rundown from the beginning until now. In the end, I wept in tears. Touche!

Worst Moments: I don't know some of the moments are less-expected. Let's say with the Gold Digger dance and I wanna Sex up? Inappropriate! Rapping up here? BAD!

Best Songs: I'll come down to everyone's favorites, Don't Stop Believin. That was such a strong performance to begin a series! :) However, throughout the season, some of noteworthy performances such as Like A Prayer or Total Eclipse of The Heart were blasts too!

Coupled Up: It might sound cliche but Rachel and Finn got my vote on this one! I mean yes, we've had this ship from the beginning of the series but that finale moment where Rachel smiled at Finn before the Sectionals? That was adorable

Hopes For Next Season: Let's break this down into several points:
1. What about making Idina Menzel as series regular? Have you listened to her voices? Shivers!
2.
We hope to have more of singers based episode (the one with Madonna and Gaga are great!) say, Beyonce, Britney Spears, or The Beatles?
3. We would like more and more guest stars like Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, and Lady Gaga herself!
4. Last but not least, let's give Will and Emma a chance shall we? At least I want to know how it will turn out, before the 4 minutes screwed up?

Overall Scores: A-
