YIPEE! I finally got to watch cw's most anticipated new series, the beautiful life :)
one thing for sure, the series is amazing and I'm not just bragging, I'm dead serious
The juicy show started with Raina (Sara Paxton) a newbie model who turned heads at Zac Posen show. Clearly, this wasn't too good for Sonja (Mischa Barton) once-on-top model-desperately-climbing-all-the-way-to-the-top. All the fuss didn't stop there. Sonja was looking forward on getting Versace ads campaign, only having to compete again with Raina and former friend, Marissa (Ashley Madekwe). Miaww! Game on ladies :)
And yes of course, like any other teenager show, here comes the love story between Raina and another fresh blood, Chris (Benjamin Hollingsworth) who dreamed big all the way from Iowa. The two bonded faster than any chemical reaction as Raina helped Chris getting his model career.
Another scene took place in the party held by the modeling agency boss, Claudia (Elle Macpherson). The three girls kept the eyes on the price as they fought for the booker's attention. Sonja who arrived glamorously in her Versace dress was harassed by the booker. Raina didn't take that easily, she schemed the booker in order to get back at him and book a job for Sonja (what a sweetie pie :))
However, one thing that stunned me and confused me was the fact that Sonja may have a secret love child (wow!) But we'll have to see till next episode to really find out, now it's just a strong speculation
And yes, Corbin Bleu played as Issac, a model with music at his heart, and yup, Cole Shepherd (played by Nico Tortorella) was the alpha-male who got into a lot of trouble.
Would the beautiful people really have a beautiful life? Or would they be sent straight to rehab? You have to tune in to see :)
Overall, I think beautiful life has its own attraction, the twisted plot about beautiful people. People want to know more about model's life and the beautiful life offers that in package of dazzling clothes and famous guest stars.
And yes, the Mischa Barton factor is one of the foremost factor why people are watching this show. Have to say, Mischa Barton is amazing in this series and I'm looking forward in seeing her more (take note, writer!)
