these Oscar favorites :D

I have always loved Oscar, yea, I mean the thrill and excitement of the announcement for the winners, the glamorous red carpet, Oh My!
So I'll present to you my nomination for the best performances in decades, starting from best actor, actress, and i'll continue in the next post with best supporting actor and actress, plus best picture :D

BEST ACTOR

#1 Russell Crowe as John Forbes Nash, Jr. (A Beautiful Mind)

No doubt! I think Crowe’s performance here was fantastic, magical, implicit, yet flawless! Compared with The Gladiator, I think Crowe should have taken the Oscar for this role, or maybe both! J Anyway, I can’t stop picturing him with that equations and everything! Amazing-ness!

#2 Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow (Pirates of The Caribbean)

I kept thinking how quirky Depp’s character in this amazing triology! I just don’t get it, why no Oscar for him, yet! I mean Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow is legendary! Everyone adored, no adore him for this role! Nothing can stop Depp and we know it! It’s about time to give some Oscar, a long waited one for this talented actor!

#3 Leonardo DiCaprio as Frank Wheeler (Revolutionary Road)

I’m sorry, but how could you not give Leo a nomination for this performance? I mean, him with Winslet are magical, there are sparks, chemistry, emotion, anger, lust, and everything! It’s just wrong not to give him one of those nomination for the golden statue! Leo for the Oscar, my friend!

#4 Tom Hanks as Prof. Robert Langdon (Angels&Demons)

It’s a clear reason why because Tom Hanks is such an amazing actor that he embodied the role of Professor Robert Langdon in such a way that everytime I read the book, my mind goes to him!

#5 Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes)

For the upcoming Oscar, I’m begging someone to actually nominate him for this role! Him as Sherlock Holmes is twisted in some way yet incredible in another one! So dear Oscar board or whatever you are, please let me root Downey in this year Oscar!

BEST ACTRESS

#1 Sandra Bullock as Leigh Anne T (The Blind Side)

I’m just rooting for Sandra to win this year’s Oscar! I think her performance is

outstanding and deserved an Oscar as cherry on top! It must be insane if she doesn’t win

this one because from what I know, she’s proved to all of us, America, that she’s not just

some America’s sweetheart, she can act! :D

#2 Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly (Devil Wears Prada)

I have to admit that I’m Meryl’s big fans and fashion obsessed. However, this doesn’t

base most of the reason why we have to pick her as winning lady! I basically think that

the performance that Meryl had given us was outstanding and very realistic. This is so

far, my favorite Meryl’s performance in a decade

#3 Nicole Kidman as Virginia Woolf (The Hours)

Yes! It’s me being an old soul and loving everything about almost century ago! However,

I think Nicole was at her best at this movie and of course, she totally embodied the role as

if she lived in that generation!

#4 Kate Winslet as Hanna Schmitz (The Reader)

Okay, this is the performance that finally gave Winslet an Oscar! So yes, it’s historical

blah blah blah! However, my reason for choosing this one is because Winslet here

doesn’t just pose as the smart girl or whatever. She’s guilty and give us some dilemma in

choosing what’s best for her!

#5 Angelina Jolie as Christine Collins (The Changeling)

I guess, when the Oscar race first come, Jolie is like the most likely to win! She has Clint

Eastwood on her back, the dramatic mother story, but unfortunately for her, the long

waited Oscar for Winslet robbed her! However, I still think, this is one of the best

performances in the decade! She based this on her real life hero, her mother that made it

so sweet and approachable.

say a-fasyoon- at SAG red carpet :D

Okay guys, I've posted about the show before, now it's time for some fashion police as usual! I think in this SAG, everybody was looking gorgeous and so graceful in their own dresses! And I also have my pick for most interesting dress for the night, check it out!
#1 Sandra Bullock in Alexander Mcqueen
rate: ♥♥♥1/2

Frankly, I'm not crazy about the dress because it's way too basic for an award show! Of course, the sequin in the top doesn't work in the most proper way. However, Sandra's sleek back hair always works for me and this time around, it definitely saves her from getting into disaster. Sorry Sandra, you are a winner but this dress doesn't do the same! :(

#2 Toni Collette in Rafael Cennamo
rate:
♥♥

If she lost the top details in the gown, the look would be a va va voom! However, with that sequin present, she looked like she was about to do some R-rated dancing in Arabian desert. I don't know I think she can do so much better than that! On the other hand, the hair is stunning with side swept bangs! Aww I ♥ it!

#3 Tina Fey in Salvatore Ferragamo
rate:
♥♥♥1/2

I hope Tina Fey is not reading this one because I can't force myself to give a good review about the whole outfit with her looking 10 years older. She shouldn't choose a dress with that V 'halter-top' neck cut because she looked like she was late for a meeting. I love the shoes though! Like she said, "it's the shoes that Carrie Bradshaw will wear forever and I will only wear it for an hour" Point taken!

#4 Dianna Agron in Georges Chakra
rate: ♥1/2

Glee most stylish lady, Dianna Agron looked absolutely breathtaking in that white dress! It's so couture chanel with mix of Elie Sabb. What can I say, the dress is a Goddess perfection! :D

#5 Julianna Margulies in Narciso Rodriguez
rate: ♥1/2

This dress does look and fit her personality. However, her whole look didn't struck as memorable to me! The blue suede is way too dark for a carpet and the hair do looks way too simple for someone who was about to win an award.

#6 Christina Hendricks
rate:

Wow! The one shoulder gown looked stunning with a pair of earrings that scream exoticism, don't you think? Plus the hair do is a must try for everyone who wishes to flaunt their accessories! Good job, Christina! :D

#7 Penelope Cruz in L'Wren Scott
rate: 1/2

This time around, Penelope Cruz played a little bit safe by choosing basic black with usual hair-do. The good news is her fugly tan is fading away! I'm just glad because it's hideous to see her dressing up looking burned! The one big problem here is the dress makes her hand looked gigantic, is it just me or are you feeling it too?

#8 Jennifer Carpenter in Paule Ka
rate:

This is what I called as fierce fabulous! It's simple but that dress is attention grabbing! With some black heels and a bit gothic hair do, we're looking at some high fashion pics! Lights, camera, vogue! :D

#9 Michelle Monaghan
rate:
Never in million years, I'd imagine Michelle Monaghan wearing this kind of dress and yes, she took the chance! Against all the odds, the dress was actually looking gorgeous on her and that killer earrings was a hit!

#10 Anna Paquin in Alexander Mcqueen
rate:

Anna Paquin looked gorgeous in person but with that kind of dress, I think it's pretty inappropriate dear to wear something like that to a prestigious award show. That print also looked a bit tacky and very scattered. Sorry but I'm not liking this one!

#11 Drew Barrymore
rate:
The dress is tres gorgeous! Drew's hair do is also looking fabulous! So, why no big love for this one? Well, I'll say take a closer look on her face. It is freaking pale, somebody puts too much powder on her! Poor Drew! If not, she might already make it as one of our best dressed of the night!

#12 Marion Cotillard in Elie Sabb
rate:
♥1/2

It's nice for her to change some pace by switching from Dior to Elie Sabb! The choice was right! Marion Cotillard stunned me with her one shoulder mini skirt paired with a pair of white edgy shoes. Her hair do? a total 9! This is why I love her style and her as a person very much. She always keeps it simple, the way it is!

#13 Lea Michele in Catherine Malandrino
rate: ♥1/2

Glee's rising star, Lea Michele didn't impress me for the night! Her choice of color was absolutely brilliant, however the pick for the dress? not so much! I prefer her looking sweet and chic rather than sexy elegant because that's what teenagers supposed to look like! :) So maybe try something lighter and more tres chic than this one?

#14 Diane Kruger in Jason Wu
rate:

Another perfect 5 from Diane Kruger in this year's award season! I don't know, I think Diane Kruger has some secret magical wardrobe that always keeps her looking gorgeous, glamorous, and gleaming! Enough said, I like the one shoulder detail, I love her necklace, the color of her lipstick, everything is fine as a wine! :)

#15 Kate Hudson in Pucci
rate: ♥1/2
This is not about the dress, although that back detail is smoking! It's the jewelery hanging in her back! Oh jeez! That's just crowd grabbing! In some way, it's simple yet stunning, see diamond talks girls!

#16 Meryl Streep in Balenciaga
rate:

I'm sorry Meryl! This maxi dress is not made for you! I can say that the pattern makes you look kinda weird and of course, the belt? OUCH! I'm sorry, but this is horrible!

#17 Anna Kendrick in Alberta Ferreti
rate: ♥3/4

Hollywood's latest "it" girl glowed in that violet dress for certain! I can't help but to admire that astonishing (in a good way) details! It's so special and made her looked like the princess of the night :D

#18 Kyra Sedgwick in Vera Wang
rate:

We got ourselves, another five for this event! (I love the fact that everything was beyond gorgeous) Kyra Sedgwick took fashion to the next level when she chose this bridal like gown that was paired up with gleaming brooch! The simple hair do was also a stunner and not once, I'd imagine her looking more perfect than now!

#19 Christina Applegate in Roberto Cavalli
rate: 1/2

The reason why this dress was getting so much love is the beautiful baby blue color! In some way, it worked with Christina's eyes! I'd love to have one of these dresses :p

#20 Carey Mulligan in Lanvin
rate:

First impression? Mischa Barton's look a like however look at the dress? KILLER! That fierce look was a winner from Barton's :D

xoxo,

C

SAG complete winners list

See, i'll be the first to tell you about the winner of SAG :D (not the first but well, early announcement) here are the list of winners and my prediction for upcoming big event such as Oscar/Emmy

Cast in a Motion Picture: Inglourious Basterds

Status: Predicting it right! J

My take: I am feeling ecstatic for the win; there couldn’t be any better winner. I mean as much as I love Nine, the cast of Inglorious Basterds are boomerang, they’re huge. They played and showed us Nazi in the way we had never seen before!

Prediction: This gives Inglorious Basterds possibly a nod for winning in the Oscar. I mean this is the only point of movie during award season that always reaches constant level. Watch out for Inglorious Basterds in Oscar’s Best Picture!

Male Actor in a Leading Role: Jeff Bridges, Crazy Heart

Status: Knew it from the beginning!

My take: For this one, I think we have a clear winner! Unlike last year, we were still split between Sean Penn and Mickey Rouke. This year, it’s Jeff Bridges’ domination! I have to say though, he’s worth it! I mean, the portrayal couldn’t get any better than that! (Eventhough I only watched the trailer, I could feel him and the emotion he brought)

Prediction: Without a fight, he’ll go home win an Oscar for Best Actor

Female Actor in a Leading Role: Sandra Bullock, The Blind Side

Status: Kinda see this one coming, but still not sure

My take: Honestly, among all the others, I think Sandra Bullock deserves the win at higher stake! I watched the movie for 2 times and I could see how flawless she played Leigh Anne. It was graceful, sassy, warm, and approachable at the very same time. I know some of you are rooting Meryl to win but you know what, Sandra is the movie star that we had never expected before to beat Meryl. Plus, her winning is far more sensational that Winslet’ last year (and we know Winslet is award’s favorite).

Prediction: Looking at the fact that Sandra is so loved by America, she’ll take home Best Actress statue and everyone will be cheering for her! (and that includes Meryl Streep herself!)

Male Actor in a Supporting Role: Christoph Waltz, Inglourious Basterds

Status: It’s easier than closing your eyes to predict he’s going to win!

My take: In the movie, he spoke three different languages, English, French, and Germany. Moreoverly, playing as a cold hearted villain is a lot harder than it looks. With that, we can say we have found the right/perfect Oscar formula! So, no chance, we are complaining with him winning!

Prediction: Oh just give him the Best Supporting Actor Oscar already!

Female Actor in a Supporting Role: Mo'Nique, Precious

Status: It’s like Jennifer Hudson all over again!

My take: Mo’Nique was used to be known as the fat black girl who brought the house down in BET or whatever it is. Who knows the girl can act? Not just acting ‘acting’ but she can deliver an amazingly outstanding performance that is award worthy. So, as much as I love the others nominee, I’ll say that this winning is well deserved

Prediction: You know what, her chance of winning is as big as the movie :D

Male Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries: Kevin Bacon, Taking Chance

Status: We know it, and we want it!

My take: I guess Kevin Bacon’s win is already pretty much predictable! Here we are with the musical movie legend (Footloose?) and now he’s all grown up and ready to step into a Lt.’s shoes! My favorite part of him winning? His acceptance speech about the wife and kids, aww shook so sweet!

Prediction: I think they already nominated him for Emmy last year, sadly he lost L

Female Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries: Drew Barrymore, Grey Gardens

Status: It’s about time for Drew!

My take: Last year at the Emmy’s, Drew lost to her own co-star, Jessica Lange. It was disappointing but we secretly hoped that she’d win something. Here she is, winning SAG and Golden Globe! Oh screw Emmy right?

Prediction: I don’t see Drew doing TV movie but she’ll bounce back to movie, right?

Ensemble in a Drama Series: Mad Men

Status: *yawn*

My take: For me this is very boring! I can’t believe, Mad Men, then Mad Men again! Aww God, the show is boring and the winning is even more boring than that! I don’t care how hot Jon Drapper is, because for me, he’s not! Plus, this show is Soprano wanna be, no offense!

Prediction: I hate to say this, but it’ll win at the Emmy’s again and I’m ready to throw something! Ugh

Ensemble in a Comedy Series: Glee

Status: Let’s sing it, GLEE!

My take: This one is predictable enough! Everybody loves Glee! It combines between drama, music, and dance! Nothing gets better than that! Plus we have the high school drama and adult drama going on here! It’s too good to be true!

Prediction: Let’s take home the Emmy’s glee kids!

Male Actor in a Drama Series: Michael C. Hall, Dexter

Status: I don’t get it?

My take: I know, he’s dying, blab la bla, but for once, I think Dexter is overrated just like Mad Men! This show is sick twisted and Dexter is not a favorite character! The character doesn’t show significant effect on us and we are not feeling him that bad!

Prediction: Oh yea, if he’s still dying, he’ll win an Emmy’s maybe? Sucks!

Female Actor in a Drama Series: Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife

Status: I know, she’ll win but is she worth it?

My take: I think Julianna Margulies has done an outstanding work on The Good Wife. She got a lot sympathy from women but I don’t her performance shows a lot of emotion. She remains calm most of the time and that’s starting to look like a zombie. The effect? No one even knows this series (and I’m dead serious). I guess if we talk about the presence effect, we’re pointing to Glenn Close as Patty Hewes who never stops to amuse me. But I think Kyra Sedgwick also potrays someone who’s pretty unique

Prediction: Don’t hold your breath, I think she’ll smoothen her way to the Emmy’s before Close stops her!

Male Actor in a Comedy Series: Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock

Status: Even babies know about this one!

My take: Alec Baldwin is phenomenal and so far, no one can stop him! Jack Donaghy is cocky, self-centered, but so well-received by the audiences. I mean, who are we to resist Alec Baldwin?

Prediction: Another Emmy’s, I know it!

Female Actor in a Comedy Series: Tina Fey, 30 Rock

Status: Well, Fey is back!

My take: I thought that Toni Colette will take home this one because you know how it works but it’s not Tina Fey not to stop her. Once she’s stopped, she’ll never go back to the road again. I can tell you that. Yes, Tina Fey is our favorite funny lady who’ll continue the domination till IDK, she’s as old as Betty White?

Prediction: Nothing can stop Fey from winning!

Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture: Star Trek

Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series: 24

Life Achievement Award: Betty White

SAG prediction :D

so as you all know, that SAG will be held 2mrrw! (so excited about that)
as usual, i'm going to present to you my take, on who's gonna win, should win,and the dark horse of course :D

let us begin:

FILM

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role

JEFF BRIDGES / Bad Blake - "CRAZY HEART" (Fox Searchlight Pictures)

GEORGE CLOONEY / Ryan Bingham - "UP IN THE AIR" (Paramount Pictures)

COLIN FIRTH / George Falconer - "A SINGLE MAN" (The Weinstein Company)

MORGAN FREEMAN / Nelson Mandela - "INVICTUS" (Warner Bros. Pictures)

JEREMY RENNER / Staff Sgt. William James - "THE HURT LOCKER" (Summit Entertainment)

Who will win: Looking at the consecutive wins, I'll say Jeff Bridges for Crazy Heart. This man has never won this one before and as you can see, SAG is all about honoring your own actors. So I'm gonna go with Jeff Bridges

Who should win:
I stick with what I said before, I'd love to see some Mr.Clooney for the win. It's not because he's dreamy, sexy, and charming (which by the way he is) but the way he brings it for the audience and his devotion to the role is what makes me secretly rooting for him

Dark Horse: Well, Jeremy Renner is not a favorite to win but I know with the critically acclaimed movie of his, The Hurt Locker, Jeremy also stands a chance in taking one of those statues home!

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role

SANDRA BULLOCK / Leigh Anne Tuohy - "THE BLIND SIDE" (Warner Bros. Pictures)

HELEN MIRREN / Sofya - "THE LAST STATION" (Sony Pictures Classics)

GABOUREY SIDIBE / Precious - "PRECIOUS: BASED ON THE NOVEL ‘PUSH' BY SAPPHIRE" (Lionsgate)

MERYL STREEP / Julia Child - "JULIE & JULIA" (Columbia Pictures)

Who will win: This probably the hardest one to choose, I guess it's all between Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep. Both women delivered such an amazing performances. Both of them have won equally same awards. Now, it's just a matter of time to determine one winner. However I think Meryl Streep will win this one, counting that she's one of the most respected actress in Hollywood history. It's still fun too have another tie though?

Who should win: I guess, or I hope Sandra Bullock will win. It's not because she's better than Meryl. They're equally good :D but it's just nice to see a one-timer to win something and it's the year for Sandra to get some respect from her fellow actors/actress!

Dark Horse: Sorry Emily Blunt, so far you've not uppened your game so you'll still be my royal dark horse :D

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role

MATT DAMON / Francois Pienaar - "INVICTUS" (Warner Bros. Pictures)

WOODY HARRELSON / Captain Tony Stone - "THE MESSENGER" (Oscilloscope Laboratories)

STANLEY TUCCI / George Harvey - "THE LOVELY BONES" (Paramount Pictures)

CHRISTOPH WALTZ / Col. Hans Landa - "INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS" (The Weinstein Company/Universal Pictures)

Who will win and should win: Christoph Waltz! Hands Down everybody! Do I have to say more?

Dark Horse: Matt Damon with Invictus is not entirely convinced able so I'm gonna go with him as the dark horse. But you always know every dark horse can bring some surprise huh?

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role

PENÉLOPE CRUZ / Carla - "NINE" (The Weinstein Company)

VERA FARMIGA / Alex Goran - "UP IN THE AIR" (Paramount Pictures)

ANNA KENDRICK / Natalie Keener - "UP IN THE AIR" (Paramount Pictures)

DIANE KRUGER / Bridget Von Hammersmark - "INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS" (The Weinstein Company/Universal Pictures)

MO'NIQUE / Mary - "PRECIOUS: BASED ON THE NOVEL ‘PUSH' BY SAPPHIRE" (Lionsgate)

Who will win: Me and all of my friends have this in our minds' set! It's Ms. Mo'nique who will deliver another hearth wrenching speech! :D You can count on me about this one!

Who should win:
I guess it would be nice to see Twilight Star Anna Kendrick for the win, or maybe even Ms. Diane Kruger who always manages to look effortlessly stylish in award season's red carpet! Roll up some camera! Here they come!

Dark Horse: At this point, Diane Kruger is the dark horse. She hasn't gotten any nomination except for this one, and of course, she's not that you know, serious actress type, she's more like a fashionista to me!

Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture

AN EDUCATION (Sony Pictures Classics)

DOMINIC COOPER / Danny

ALFRED MOLINA / Jack

CAREY MULLIGAN / Jenny

ROSAMUND PIKE / Helen

PETER SARSGAARD / David

MARIAH CAREY / Ms. Weiss

LENNY KRAVITZ / Nurse John

MO'NIQUE / Mary

PAULA PATTON / Ms. Rain

SHERRI SHEPHERD / Cornrows

GABOUREY SIDIBE / Precious

Who will win: It's a two words announcement: Inglorious Basterds. Why? Okay, we have these amazing actors who kicked Nazi's asses so, what can go wrong?

Who should win: I guess, I'd have to agree with Inglorious Basterds or Nine. These are stars who are committed to their works, I mean really working hard for it! So why don't give them some awards?

Dark Horse: I doubt that The Hurt Locker stands a chance on this one. As far as I'm concerned, the movie is sensational because of Bigelow not the casts (sorry folks!)

TV

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries

KEVIN BACON / Lt. Col. Michael R. Strobl - "TAKING CHANCE" (HBO)

CUBA GOODING, JR. / Ben Carson - "GIFTED HANDS: THE BEN CARSON STORY" (TNT)

KEVIN KLINE / Cyrano de Bergerac - "GREAT PERFORMANCES: CYRANO de BERGERAC" (PBS)

TOM WILKINSON / Salter - "A NUMBER" (HBO)

Who will win: It's Kevin Bacon's year to win :D trust me, he's grown from that rebellious boy in Footloose as respectable Lt in Taking Chance :D And SAG? They love Kevin Bacon!

Who should win: Same as above, I'll say Kevin Bacon for Winning!

Dark Horse: IDK!

Who will win: It's either Jessica Lange or Drew Barrymore! So what's it gonna be fellow actors/actress? the girl who practically grew up in H-wood or senior actress?

Who should win: Let's gather up and pick Drew Barrymore! Girl can deliver a satisfying speech! Honest and blunt yet emotional!

Dark Horse: Again IDK!

MICHAEL C. HALL / Dexter Morgan - "DEXTER" (Showtime)

JON HAMM / Don Draper - "MAD MEN" (AMC)

HUGH LAURIE / House - "HOUSE" (FOX)

Who will win: I'm still an optimist and root for Hugh Laurie. Why? I know that Michael C Hall won globes but you know what, Globes is seeking something big and mainstream (with C Hall's cancer it's extra big news) but SAG is more like who earns more respect and it's Laurie!

Who should win: You know how I said it, screw Hamm, screw C.Hall, screw everyone in this nomination except Laurie :)

Dark Horse: Ausie actor, Simon Baker has to wait a few year before winning one of those statues. Hey it takes time to make things go right!

HOLLY HUNTER / Grace Hanadarko - "SAVING GRACE" (TNT)

JULIANNA MARGULIES / Alicia Florrick - "THE GOOD WIFE" (CBS)

KYRA SEDGWICK / Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson - "THE CLOSER" (TNT)

Who will win: Okay I see that Julianna Margulies walks home with Golden Globe (yea the show is fresh, and we know GG loves something mainstream and fresh) but here, trust me, she won't have the same luck, it's either Glenn Close or Glenn Close

Who should win: Still rooting for Glenn Close. As much as you got intimated by her, she's one of the most memorable villain, ever!

Dark Horse: Sorry to announce that the dark horses will go to either Patricia Arquette or Kyra Sedgwick (she can sit and be a supportive other for her husband at least)

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series

ALEC BALDWIN / Jack Donaghy - "30 ROCK" (NBC)

STEVE CARELL / Michael Scott - "THE OFFICE" (NBC)

LARRY DAVID / Himself - "CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM" (HBO)

Who will win: The defending champion, Alec Baldwin will add more statue to his collection! Hey Alec, I guess you need more space huh?

Who should win: With that I'll present to you, ladies and gents, another dose of Alec Baldwin

Dark Horse:
It's tough but that monk guy (Tony something) is doomed!

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series

TINA FEY / Liz Lemon - "30 ROCK" (NBC)
