london, bring out your inner edginess

take a few seconds to really get a closer look on this look..
i couldn't help but wanting to poke on that head accessory in SJP's head. call me superficial but this look is definitely an original and make me wanna go to forever 21 to grab one of them. attention grabbing? uh yes, edgy? undeniably correct. it's definitely carrie/sjp's quirky
pesona that sends this piece of fashion stuff to work.

another point here, the alexander mcqueen dress is a picture perfect of a british fashionista. i think this look is much better than the one in new york, don't you think? i agree to the saying that sjp always figures out a way to stand out among the other ladies. :)

anyway, the others didn't look too shabby either. i'm loving kristin davis' look (she has been constantly looking feminine chic) and chris north looked dapper too, very wallstreet financier vibe.

good news aside, i'm still mortified with the fact that sex and the city 2 will open in indonesia in june 2! what..that's just so unfair! i've been waiting for like a year for this movie and i got later opening date? =_=
point is please dear 21, stop being so shallow by opposing women realism movie and siding with the boys as heroine stuff. that's so last century

in order to repel my disappointment, i did satc quotes reading and here, i will share some of my favorites with you :)

“Sometimes we need to stop analyzing the past, stop planning the future, stop figuring out precisely how we feel, stop deciding exactly what we want, and just see what happens.” - carrie bradshaw

"Shopping is my cardio." -carrie bradshaw

"Life gives you lots of chances to screw up which means you have just as many chances to get it right."-carrie bradshaw

"I will not be the first one to speak. And if he never calls me again, I'll always think of him fondly. As an asshole."-carrie bradshaw

"You shouldn't have to sacrifice who you are just because somebody else has a problem with it."-Carrie Bradshaw

"The thing is..there are some things we don't admit because we just don't like the way it sounds."-Charlotte York

"Honey, you have to let it go. If I worried what every bitch in New York was saying about me, I'd never leave the house."-Samantha Jones

"Yeah, I am harsh. I'm also demanding, stubborn, self-sufficient, and always right."-Samantha Jones

For those of you who have watched sex and the city 2, spoil me please, drop some comments and that would made my day, thank you :)

20 random thoughts.

i'm sitting in front of this ancient laptop and i couldn't help but to think about these 20 completely random things that have been jumbling in my brain for the rest of the evening.

#1 sex and the city premiere date in indonesia. God knows, i have been anticipating this all girl movie ever since the stars were still in talks about coming back. so please, if you have slightest idea about it, tell me!

#2 still on sex and the city. i'm staring at SJP's yellow-greenish Valentino dress and i kept thinking, "does fabulous look last forever? cause it certainly looks like one"

#3 what's up with the love for korean pop? yuck! no offense but those half heterosexual men are less hotter than real gay people. they're exquisitely more fabulous that those adolescence kiddies.

#4 what would the world be like if jane austen were still writing her realism writing?

#5 are there any women much more fearless than angelina jolie? watching her climbing and hanging down buildings, dang, i'm doubting her existence as an ordinary human, a mutant, yes, an ordinary woman? doubt it.

#6 why certain boy has tendency to join the girls' for some inside scoop? to fit in? that would be so wasted, cause the least exciting thing is to have straight man hovering around like a sick puppy

#7 is inscribing "cradle to grave" with my oldest bff on something considered tacky?

#8 who will win american idol? lee or crystal? simon says who?

#9 what should i do knowing that life is too short for drama while everyday everyone in my surrounding creates one, less or more?

#10 is nowadays women tend to adore the gays better than the straights? the best thing is, gays don't break your heart and they're not insensitive like real guys do

#11 why do we fake everything, we fake laugh, we fake cry, we fake labels, is there such thing as originality?

#12 sawyer and juliet are the most adorable pairing in lost. the hot tempered sawyer met his match with soft&serene juliet. still, thinking processing though with juliet's cursing, "son of a b*tch" while knocking on a bomb.

#13 is grey's anatomy losing its spark? cause i'm getting sick of owen. he has reached beyond annoying point

#14 can one die because of having too many..dreams?

#15 sue sylvester does resemble one of my teacher, hmph

#16 joe jonas and demi lovato broke up already. haha, the disney stars have turned into another crowd of paris hilton and co

#17 when will glee do an episode on the beatles or bee gees?

#18 nicole scherzinger just won dancing with the star, yet i'm not suprised, yes, she can dance (i'm here to testify)

#19 what kind of craziness will happen this weekend? :)

#20 should i watch laws of attraction tonight? (recently coming into my mind)

a piece of CARRIE BRADSHAW

Before I start, let me get this straight, I'm a total goner for Sex and The City. Hell-o, it's not only about the envy-worthy clothing, it's the girl empowerment plot that sets the trend! Out of all the equally (well, not so much) girls, I'd take Carrie Bradshaw, anytime, anywhere, anyplace. Once again, let me validate a few things. First, yes, she has hundreds collections of Blahniks but you know what, she has the 'it' factor to flaunt it! Second, her character is quirky, bubbly, uniquely chic, and extremely adorable. Nobody hates Carrie Bradshaw! Third, her on-off story (which ends in hopefully a happy ending) with "Mr.Big" sold me to the ground! I'm just crazy about their sizzling chemistry, 911, fire burning for sure.
So, today, I'll present to you few (that's without a, you can't get enough of it) Carrie's best looks! ENJOY!

#1 Tutu Ballerina

It's the iconic tutu that's credited every SATC credit! Believe it or not, it's worth $5 at first! Oh wow! The genius Patricia Field chose this tutu dress because it reflects on Carrie's personality, quirky with sweetness inserted! Awww :) Remember on the movie, this is A MUST KEEP!

#2 Paris When It Sizzles

One remark: HUGE! The Versace dress is clearly a perfect ending to the series! “The dress is every woman’s daydream gown, just acres and acres of tulle and chiffon. You’d expect a dress like this to be pink, but it’s this darkly romantic color—the perfect dress to be dumped in,” said Rubenstein. “There’s nothing more woeful than seeing a beautiful woman all dressed up with nowhere to go.” What can I say? The dress took my breath away

#3 Pastel in Display

Remember this dress when Carrie fell into the lake with Big? Yea, that's the dress (Richard Tyler) that I want to wear when I'm half-drowning with equally stunning looking man! It's a perfect pastel match with killer handbag too! (PS. It's Louis Vuitton) Another way to describe the dress? classic vintage, classic Carrie!

#4 Carrie-d Away by The Necklace

Okay, the necklace is legendary! Think about it, I want one with my name inscribed on it! It's unique, no one will have one like yours! Adding the fact that it can be matched with everything in your closet (even Chicken Suit) adds another point too!

#5 Ms Walking Newspaper

Hands down! Before Gaga even knew about this style, Carrie Bradshaw had went with it! It's a definite crowd stopper and you know what, turns out it has meaning behind it. It's about season 3 with all the talking! What can I say? WOW

#6 Casually Chic

When you're not in the mood being quirky, you can always try for this look! It's very laid back yet chic, very stylish yet simple, with strappy sandals. We beg to differ Carrie!

#7 Stripey Stylish

I don't know whether it's the flower or the fact that the whole pattern just match because this look is definitely working! At her arrival in Paris, Carrie already dressed to impress and she got some big flower to show! It's definitely ' An American Girl in Paris'

#8 It's a Pink World

Wow Carrie! This is the most stunning gown, I've ever seen! Tres Chic! Plus, the crazy hair do is a mood booster too! How can you not love this woman? She's stunningly amazing. Course, that detail on her dress is right now driving me crazy!

#9 Green Fever

You can't say no this beautiful body con dress with floral details! It's the first dress that I've seen Carrie in from the movie that just grabs my heart! It's the first classical moment where my heart just goes to the movie! :) Awww

#10 Floral Pattern

A complete sucker for this one, you know how much I love floral right? SO, go ahead and try, but I'll stand by what I said :)

There it was, few of my favorites! I remember Carrie once said this:

"and we were dressed from head to toe in love... the only label that never goes out of style"- carrie bradshaw

I think her perfection in looks doesn't come from her gorgeous features, but the way she carries herself, dignified stylish women who knows what she want :)

If you have any more remarks about Carrie looks, holler away! The comment button is next to the post! wohoo ;0

my take on 2010 MET Gala Ball

Yes, the creme de la creme of fashion event has just passed and here we are, observing very thoroughly with the beautiful dresses and of course, fashion-recognized figures :D

Here are few of the most traffic stopping dresses:

1. Eva Longaria in
Marchesa

I hate to point out the fact that such a beautiful dress can end up so wrong in such a beautiful girl too! Eva and dress is not a perfect team because the color of the dress is clearly not blending well enough with Eva's skin tone and her make up is ugh, adds up 10 years to her looks!

#2 Carey Mulligan in
Miu Miu

It's a very simple dress to begin with, oh well, Mulligan in her 12-year-old looks surely fail to grow up in this Gala. I mean, she looks 12 don't you think? It's the dress that you wear to meet your sister or cousin, not for a Gala, hello?

#3 Marion Cottilard in
Dior

I'm in complete nightmare just looking the combination between Cottilard and her dress. What's wrong with the look? Oh let's start with the very old-looking make up and the hair do doesn't help too! Finally, the very conventional detail in the dress doesn't ease up the pain too!

#4 Thandie Newton

A very nice example to combine skin color with dress color :) I think Ms. Newton got this one right! I mean, it's just so pretty! Oh you know, the purple violet color is so blooming, just like the spring! What else? Great hair do and make up too! :)

#5 Anne Hathaway in
Valentino

Absolutely ravishing in that dress! Hathway never look prettier than this! The dress is sparkly, the hair do is youth looking, and her make up does compliment her princess aura! What can I say, once a princess, always a princess!

#6 Jennifer Lopez in
Zuhair Murad

One of my favorite for the night! J-Lo went for it all with her festive and attention grabbing dress. It's a perfect looks for the gala! :) Who's the designer anyway? He can be the next big thing you know!

#7 Blake Lively in
Marchesa

Fashion goes terribly wrong? Oh dear Blake, I would love if you have a sincerity to cover up your assets with something. Plus, dressing up less doesn't mean you'll get more attention, well probably yes, but not in a very good way! And yea, stop tanning that much, you look awful!

#8 Kristen Bell in
DVF

Very unique looking dress? It does look like a shred of newspaper put together into a dress! However, as you look more into it, you find it pretty edgy and of course, innovative! :)
Adding the fact that Bell looks amazing in it does give more compliment to the dress!

#9 Kristen Stewart in
Chanel

I'm not gonna start a fact that it's Chanel or it is Ms. Stewart itself. Cause tonight, these two are just wrong! God! I don't know but I'm not feeling the Sophia Loren/Bette Davis' vibe that the look is giving me! Just a no-no!

#10 Gisele Bundchen in Alexander Wang

This couple is stunning but as for Gisele, it's not in a very good way! Well, it's indeed very risque and unique. However, I forget the mentioning of the Gala! Yes, Gisele, dress to the occasion!

#11 Taylor Swift in
Ralph Lauren

As usual, Ms. Swift never fail to impress the crowd! However, the more you see the white long gown, the more you feel like asking her, "Are you living in the 19th century of the 21st?"

#12 Eva Mendes in
Dolce&Gabanna

Two comments for the looks: the dress is pretty but doesn't fit Mendes perfectly, I mean really, really!

#13 Sienna Miler in
Emilio Pucci

A very smooth "we're on again" red carpet debut from Jude and Sienna! Sienna looks so ravishing in her dress. Yes, some of you said it's skanky, but I'm lovin the dress! Say no more, one of the best dressed nominee!

#14 Lily Collins in
Chanel

America's rising star, Lily Collins looked absolutely gorgeous in the beige/greenish color dress! The hair do is so pretty too! Of course, she maintained herself with grace and poised attitude to carry on the dress!

#15 Sarah Jessica Parker in
Halston

The dress is a reminder that SATC 2 is right around the corner! Sparkle and very dashing, very SJP! What can I say? This dress will grab headlines and turn heads all over again! :)

#16 Emma Watson in
Burberry

Best dressed pick for the night! The dress is a perfection, a Greek Goddess resemblance! The hair do, the make up, Emma, you rock the night!

#17 Anna Wintour in
Chanel

You know what, I've always imagined her wearing the dress and finally! Yeaaa, it speaks like she's the queen of the night, and indeed she is!

#18 Diane Kruger in
Calvin Klein

My eyes are playing tricks on me! This is very Ashley Olsen circa 2009! Sorry, Kruger, you're not going home with best dressed! :(

So, what do you think about this year GALA? Which dress grabs your heart?
